Should I Swap?

A rate-comparison engine pointed at a single question — is today an unusual moment to convert, measured against the pair’s own history rather than against the dollar?

Should I Swap? showing a 90-day DePIN token snapshot with percentile readings above a pair comparison.

The problem

People earning DePIN tokens accumulate small amounts continuously and convert them in lumps, which makes timing close to the only decision they control. A chart denominated in dollars does not answer it — the question is whether this token, against the one you are converting into, is cheap or dear relative to its own recent range.

What we built

A comparison that reports where today sits in a distribution rather than what today costs. Pick a pair and a window from seven days to a year, and the answer comes back against the median and the twenty-fifth and seventy-fifth marks — above average, below average, or near it, with the chart underneath it. No account, no wallet connection, no registration.

How it works

Rates come from CoinGecko, fetched server-side rather than from the browser — the API credential never reaches a client, the request rate stays under our control, and a response is cached once for everyone instead of once per visitor. A rolling ninety-day snapshot ranks the DePIN tokens against the majors on load, so the day’s most extreme readings are the first thing on the page.

How it holds up

The tool started general — any two of ten thousand assets — and got sharper by choosing an audience instead of adding features. The engine underneath never changed; what changed is that the front page now opens on a question somebody actually has. It calls itself educational rather than advisory, and stops there.
